Become a part of our Coatings Industry family. MNYCA roots go deep and our commitment to being your industry resource and ally are our top priority. We’re Better Together!
It all began at Delmonico’s restaurant in downtown New York City on February 26, 1887. The New York Paint, Oil and Varnish Club came to life at a dinner whose attendees included representatives from all the prominent firms in the allied trades. General E.L. Moulineux of C.T. Raynolds & Company was elected as our first president, with W.B. Templeton of the Oil, Paint and Drug Reporter as secretary and treasurer. The Organization Committee became the Executive Committee and consisted of R.P. Rowe, secretary of the Brooklyn White Lead Company; J. Seaver Page of F.W. Devoe & Company; and M. Sondheim of Sondheim, Alsberg & Company. It was an auspicious occasion that marked the beginning of a long and fruitful history.
