2020 Fall Webinar

The MNYCA will host a webinar on “Sustainability”.  It will be held on Thursday, November 19th, 2:00PM.  This webinar will feature Bryan Danek from Croda and Mike Jeffries from Covestro.

Abstract

Sustainability is in our DNA. It is integral to everything we do. From the raw materials we source and the way we use them, to the ingredients we create.  This presentation will discuss how Companies view and define sustainability to provide advantages to their markets we serve.  Additionally, we will introduce how market growth is achieved at the intersection of innovation and sustainability.  Manufacturers can supply both 100% bio-based building blocks to modify resins, and 100% bio-based surfactants. Numerous products can be made by using bio-based ethylene oxide (EO) which is manufactured from biomass ethanol. Coupling the use of bio-based EO with the high proportion of renewable energy used at the manufacturing plant, leads to a significant reduction in carbon footprint for the 100% renewable surfactants.  Formulators can now access 100% renewable surfactants without sacrificing performance to help meet increasingly demanding sustainability targets.
